Nonsensical update!

So I finished watching Black Lagoon and I'm all brands of revved up for The Second Barrage. I watched an assassin masquerading as a French maid...steal a Mercedes and dive bomb it off the roof of a parking structure into another moving vehicle. And then just pop open the door and climb out that bitch like she parked it. I know I probably won't be seeing her in TSB, and if I can find a decent scanlation of the manga, I'll read it. Yes. Black Lagoon = win and truth. November isn't gonna come soon enough.

I started a new manga. It's an original English Language manga called Free-Runners. Unfortunately, I liked it and now I don't know when or if there's going to be a second volume. It's about Parkour, which I've been reading about lately and found pretty interesting. I've started stretching and exercising a little more maybe to get into preparation to try some of what I've been studying by next spring, but unfortunately overdid it in one day (Friday) and now I can barely move either of my legs without some considerable pain. That's okay, though. Because Parkour still equals the shit.

I have a new PS2 game. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 has sucked me in and for about a week and a half, I was playing for about five hours a day. It's a nice anime-style RPG. I like to call it the simple-man's Final Fantasy because it has similar concepts with the summons and the turn-based team (though the AI is certainly a lot more intelligent than FF's, that I've seen), but everything is laid out right in front of you, no strategy guide needed. The whole game is based on Tarot concepts and balance and has a semi real-time flow to it (there's a calendar and you actually play individual days in which you go to school, build up academic and social points, build up friendships, join clubs, decide how you're going to spend your time after school and on off-days and vacations. And at night, you can go into an alternate dimension and fight evil creatures (including a "boss" every full moon), and lvl your ass off.
It's chock full of controversy, too! There's a student who falls in love with his teacher and starts seriously fantasizing about running away with her, and there's a little girl who gets smacked up by her dad. In order to summon, the kids take an "evoker" (that looks suspiciously like a Beretta), point them to the temple/face, and pull the trigger. And instead of a nice, comical spraying of blood, you get a nice shattering of glass (no doubt symbolic and metaphorical). And there's plot twists up the crapper along with some nice anime sequences that you can just sit and watch instead of playing.

W00t for the Naruto manga hitting Shippuden by the start of the new year.
Double w00t for I Love New York and The Boondocks starting again tomorrow.
Triple w00t for the Sieger Show this weekend.
Quadruple w00t for my birthday on Thursday.
Thank you, see you when I write my next entry in 2008.
