I guess I'll be attempting to sketch my own rat tattoos. That should be fun and interesting. I've been getting a lot of pose and anatomy ideas by watching other artists at DeviantArt, and so that should work out interestingly. I just might surprise myself. The coloring is what's going to get me, though. I can't computer-color for shit. I could try coloring by hand (and try a bunch of different mediums...I've got some oils, colored pencils, crayons and markers). Pai's coloration isn't going to be massively difficult: she was completely gray with some rusting on her haunches. But Marcus is going to kill me, with his dalmatian spots and off-center blaze. Still, it should be a neat challenge. And if not, I can hopefully commission someone to color.
I decided not to transfer stores. If I get fired, I get fired...PETCO's got me at the point where it doesn't matter anymore. But to go from one store to another isn't going to help me in the long run. I don't want to be a "superstar" at PETCO. That's like saying I beat an infant at checkers. Yeah, I did it, but who gives a damn? I've got my photo thing going, and I have a callback at Invisible Fence as a business services rep, so if that works out, I can kiss that cesspool goodbye anyway.
Tai hurt his shoulder on Saturday. We took him to the vet and they gave him some Rimadyl (which he loves, even that one day when I forgot to wrap it in the cheese to give it to him), and he got updated on his vaccinations and got a full workup, so he's happy now, laying at home and doing nothing. No more Superdog...he's gotta take it easy from now on.
