"Funny Story!"
I was born in Georgia. Our neighbors across the street were like grandparents to me. My #2 Mom and Dad. Sam and Mary equaled pure unconditional love to a lonely kid.
Sam told my husband and I on a trip a few years ago (Mary had recently died and Sam has too) when I was around 3 or so, I would ask if he wanted to hear a joke. Sam would say yes of course he would. "Funny story!" I would respond with peals of laughter.
I'm kinda having a rough day.
I could use a funny story about now.
