guppy problems
So I woke up this morning and went to feed my fish. I noticed the two female guppies (proudly named Dory & Princess, by Riley) have protruding scales...they look kind of porcupine-ish. I looked it up, which I have been trying to do a lot lately...educating myself on different fish diseases and infections. It looks like they have Dropsy. Which isn't good. They will probably die. It isn't very easy to cure. They are both pregnant too, so I am kinda bummed. I am hoping the disease didn't spread to my other healthy fish. I have them separated for now in a huge glass vase I have. I'm going to have to buy a smaller fish bowl or something for occasions like this one. I called Elena to let her know, since she gave me the fish just yesterday. She looked in her aquarium and noticed some of her fish also had the same symptoms. UGH. I know they are just fish...but they are sooo cute and I love 'em. Hopefully we will get it cured and then I can proudly have little baby guppies soon!
My husband just took Ethan and Riley out for the afternoon, I'm so going to take advantage of the peace and quiet and take a little nap with Logan...my youngest. My friends and I have "girl's night" tonight, so I'm going to need to extra rest! I will be drinking vodka and OJ tonight (more then likely) and whatever anybody else decides to have me try. It is always fun to hang out with the girls once in awhile, I sure do need it after this week.
