Almost done with my writing project. I have a bit over 16,000 words right now; it'll probably be around 17,000 words once I'm done. I'll be glad once I'm done with it; now I won't have to have these late-night writing parties anymore. Because it's harder for me to go to sleep after 3 AM because whenever I hear even the slightest noise I'm all "ZOMG WHAT WAS THAT!"
Oh, and I've also completely changed the world travel system in the universe in which my writings take place. There are actual continents now. It's very exciting. Of course, I'm going to have to re-write the entire second part of my other writing project now to account for these changes - but maybe now things won't get boring and I'll actually be able to finish the damn thing sometime soon. I've also considered taking out all the shiny light/darkness stuff (therefore eliminating pretty much the last tie to the original draft of "The Power of Light"), but because so much stuff depends on that I doubt it will happen unless I get a sudden brain wave like I did when it came to changing how people traveled. It would also involve coming up with different way from one of my characters to die (because she has to die, you see, because it has a huge effect on the people around her). I'm also having naming issues with another character. I changed her name but it's not working out, yet I don't want to go back to her old name. There are no names to suit her, it seems.
I've decided that Senile!Yoda is the best thing ever. When he steals Luke's lamp and and is all "HEE HEE HEE!" and R2 tries to take it from him and Yoda's all "MINE! MINE! MINE!" and hitting him with his stick... that is one of the most amusing things I've ever seen. And then I think back to Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith and think, "And this little green guy used to be bad-ass. Now he's just a puppet."
