Holiday week full of turkey

It somehow feels like I did not get much useful done over the weekend, and yet I still didn't finish watching Jessica Jones, either! How is this possible?

I don't want to talk too much about JJ until I finish it (I'm about halfway through episode 12 of 13, as of this morning), but I will say that I'm loving it. I really like pretty much ALL the characters, but especially am impressed especially with Jessica and how central her relationship with Trish is. Some complicated, well-written female characters in here.

And Luke Cage is A) perfectly cast and realized, and B) hot.

Saw Spectre this weekend. I liked the movie a lot, and that opening sequence in Mexico City alone would have been worth it. I think I'd put it second only to Skyfall (which we immediately went home to watch again) as my favorites.

I was amused by how much the British reviews I was reading beforehand were almost all overwhelmingly positive, while the American reviews were...mixed. Hm.

I have not worked on my Yuletide story. This is my goal for the extended weekend, along with finishing JJ.

This is a tiny little ruin of a Temple of Mithras, which you had to walk through a couple of sheep fields (and was very swampy), but I'm so glad we found it.

The alter stones in the pictures are actually replicas of ones rescued and are currently living in a museum (I believe in Newcastle).
