First of all: Thanks for writing something for me, and anyone else interested in these shows/movies! I hope you enjoy writing it as much as I will reading it.
For my tastes in general, I am primarily a slash fan, and would prefer that kind of story. It can be explicit or not, which is totally up to your comfort levels. For these fandoms, I also don't mind a bit of angst, but would prefer a happy ending.
More specific to the individual requests:
The Talk of the Town--I've been trying to write some "Why You Should Watch" posts about various movies I love, and
I did one for TotT, which should give you a look at where I'm coming from with regards to this movie.
I'd love anything set after the end of the movie, preferably with Leopold and Michael a few years down the road. I'd love to see them settling happily into life as two "confirmed bachelors," part of a threesome with Nora, or what have you. Whether you choose to add Nora or not into the mix, I do ask that you not bash her in any way.
Sinbad--This show is so much fun, with so much wackiness. I love the mythology they use and pull from the original Arabian Nights, so I'd love to see some of that. I'd really love Sinbad/Gunnar, but I like the fact that all the crew are family, and I'd love to see that explored.
Rome--Another favorite of mine. When I was looking through the Yuletide tags, I was overcome with the need for more Pullo/Vorenus (and Pullo and Vorenus) adventures, set sometime after the series ends and Vorenus's "death". (Since the show PTB even said he's not dead, I'm happy.)
Vikings--Athelstan is my favorite tortured monk, and Ragnar could pretty much set anyone on fire--in so many ways--with the intensity of his stare. I love the relationship between the two of them, and how Athelstan, along with all the other conflicts he has inside of him, is so drawn to Ragnar, sometimes against his will. I also love that the show constantly surprises me by how intense they continue to make their relationship.
I'd love to see something set post-season 2 with Ragnar king. What is Athelstan's place in Ragnar's household as a free man now? And what is Athelstan's relationship to Ragnar?
The Losers--I think there's very little that's more fun than watching Chris Evans be a goofball and, in this case, a competent one! I love Jensen and his interactions with Cougar, and there can never be enough slash with those two.
My Beautiful Launderette--This has been a favorite of mine for many years, so I would love to see something with Johnny and Omar well after the end of the movie, still together and having found some more even footing. And, if you're not as familiar with the movie,
here's my take on it. Originally posted at
