* I'm thinking I should make this icon (my Jon Stewart "I Disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're NOT HITLER" sign, for those not reading on DW) my default icon for the rest of this election year. *sigh*
* I keep meaning to talk about
The Unusuals! It was a 2009 cop show, lasted for 10 episodes. We've been watching it because of Jeremy Renner (and, seriously, worth watching for the number of times the man is not wearing much clothes), but I've been totally sucked in. First of all, it's a great cast: Harold Perrineau, Adam Goldberg, Terry Kinney, and Joan of Arcadia herself, Amber Tamblyn.
I was nearly turned off by the level of "quirky" in the first episode, but it's actually very well-written. I have to say, as well, they just had the best "you need to respect me and that this is my job" discussion I've seen on television, not least of which because it was adult and not remotely histrionic.
* Oh, dear:
Alfred Hitchcock's Suspicion finds new life. Oh, dear, I say again.
* This would get me to see another of these movies:
Del Toro Now on for Beauty and the Beast. * Rec of the Day:
Sherlock:
Learn to Wear Each Other Well--Mycroft starts meeting with Lestrade the way he did with John. Except the nature of the meetings change. I admit, I've become weirdly attached to Mycroft/Lestrade, even with no actual shared screen time. I can't help it!
