* I've had this Sherlock, post-"The Great Game" story partly written for over a year, and haven't done anything with it, and of course it now is completely canon-non-compliant, as it hinged on the two of them being seriously hurt and hospitalized. So I was then all, "Woe! Can't finish it!"
Which is, of course, when I slapped myself in the head because, seriously, what are the odds that was the last time they were in serious danger of life and limb?
I'm sure I'll come up with another excuse not to write, at some point.
* Am I the only person who thinks the new
poster for Safe House is badly composed? Like they had two ideas, so they thought they would go great together since, hey, they're both in black and white? Or am I just being boring?
* As pretty much everyone on my flist seems to know already,
Benedict Cumberbatch got cast in the next TrekReboot movie. What I hadn't seen mentioned on my flist, which is also talked about in the article, is that Noel Clarke also is in, which I'm very excited about.
*
Oh, look, they're remaking Carrie. Again. *
More on the Evil Dead remake. *bangshead* (Although a female lead sounds promising. One who possibly does NOT get raped by a tree this time.) (That was some prime southern-gothic-meets-low-budget-horror right there, though.)
* I had completely forgotten there was a Bosom Buddies remake/homage/ripoff on the air the other night.
Apparently a few people saw it, though. Poor men. So beleaguered, they have to wear dresses. In a COMPLETELY NOT GAY WAY, of course.
* Non-Yuletide Rec of the Day:
Sherlock:
When First We Practice to Deceive--NOT a Sherlock/John story, but in fact a pre-series Mycroft/Lestrade, which is kind of adorable, in a way only these two could be.
* Yuletide Rec of the Day:
Haven:
Proverbial Trees--Duke/Audrey/Nathan story. One of the great things about this year's Yuletide was how many Haven OT3 stories there were, and this one was one of my favorites.
