NUTMEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ... and some other stuff...
Why do I always let so much time pass in between my entries? I'll never be able to remember everything from the past 2 weeks.. but I'll try.
Probably the most eventful thing was NUTMEGGGGGGG! We had a bunch of rehearsals all week to prepare, and then Friday night was our send-off show. A surprising amount of people came actually, and it went really well, so we were pretty pumped. I went to Friendlys with Jared and Jessie after that and we had some embarassing conversations in that public area haha. Went home after that and watched Walk The Line with the fam. Amazing movie.
Saturday woke up at freakin 5:15am to curl my hair and be at the school for 7:45ish. Erin picked me up and her and Ashlee stopped in to see Sammypoo. It was just a freakin amazing day though, I can't even explain. We watched some groups and hung out/hair curled/etc, but we were all pretty nervous before our first performance. Even though some of us did it last year, it was just more nerve-wracking this year, like we had something to prove. But I took mega amounts of pics. Before out first show we did the whole penny deal in the warm up room and me and Meg and Kel started crying. Like full out tears haha. And they even gave the seniors ones that were 2006, since were leaving. Seriously, I don't even want to think back to that haha, I'm like gonna cry again now. Martineau just makes such sad, crazy speeches that make you wanna bawl. But we did AMAZING in our first show and I was so proud of everyone. Then we watched some groups, and then had the afternoon awards ceremony/announcement of who moves on to the night show. Me Meg and Kel went up on stage for it because we were the dance captains, and I was like shaking up on the stage for everyone to see haha. Twas quite hilarious/embarassing. But we got a GOLD MEDAL, BEST RHYTHM SECTION, and BEST VOCAL SOUND!!!!! We were so pumped there is no feeling like that when they announced those awards. But then for the night show they had already announced 3 of the 4 groups, and they hadn't said Jazzapella yet, and I thought they were sooo good so it was pretty much down to us and them. I had like accepted that we weren't into the night show... but WE GOT IN! Seriously we like erupted into fits of hysteria haha. The whole back section of the aud where the group was sitting like jumped up screaming bloody murder haha. Loved it.
We ate lunch after that and then got ready for night showness... and I figured out ticket situations for all the people comin to support us. Jared, Adrienne, Mindy, Amanda, Brian, and Adrienne's friend from work ended up coming. I was so excited they were there! We were like napping/massive picture taking during the down time in between, and we changed a bunch of stuff to enhance our show. Seriously, all of us wanted Best In Show so freakin bad it like hurt haha, and especially Meg since she had wanted it since she was like 5 and it was her senior year. So we performed, (after a sad last minute powow in the warm up room) and did ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!! I seriously have never been so proud of anyone in my entire life. I wanted to kiss all of them, (but refrained haha). We had to wait forever it seemed until the night ceremony. We were dyinggg. So we were all sitting together in the back like embracing waiting cuz were losers... AND WE WON BEST IN SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was seriously the biggest high I have ever had. I sound like such a loser writing about all of this when I read it back haha, but I don't even care. Even a week later talking about it I'm like giddy. Meg and Kel like grabbed me and dragged me onstage with them and we took the trophy, and then the whole group ran onstage and we brought the trophy down to Martineau and were all screaming and hugging. I felt like we won the superbowl... but it was a show choir competition haha. Embarassing? Oh well. We celebrated for a good half hour after that in the aud after everyone left and took a bunch of pics with our hardware. Came home, and on the bus home I literally crashed and died of exhaustion. Jared picked me up at the school, gave me my beautiful flowers, and brought me home so I could sleep forever. Love that boy for coming to support me and always being there for that crap. And for like hardcore show choir talking with the after in the car haha, ("You had the ballad and the originality!") hahaha.
Sunday I slept late and lounged. Crap I like can't remember that far back haha. Maybe I went somewhere...
Monday-Thurs was out early for CAPT (each day before 10! haha) and we had some adventures. Too lazy to recap... except that we watched "O" at Mindys because we are English losers, HP4 came out on Tues, went to Dennys with kids Wednesday and then watched HP4 again with Van, and then we malled for awhile. Friday was a full day AND hadta stay after with Manda for Journ, but all was well because we got some shizz done for our Fox61 story, and then busted up Coldstone/Banana. Went home and lounged like a fool, and plans just weren't workin out and I was sitting around trying to figure out what to do. So finally around 9:30 Mindy busted over and we decided to go to Brenden Beer's bonfire cuz Brian had told us to go. When we got there it was like 12 guys and us haha... love busting up the Sausage Fests. It was really funny to watch everyone cuz they were being funny. Lotss of sexual tension between those boys haha... between their giggling/jumping on the trampoline together and such. And Brenden and Brians love for each other. We ahd some random convos about coins, and debated why nickels cost less than dimes when they are larger. Yep. Me and Mindy hit up Taco Bell after that, and then she hung out with me until a little after one. Went to bed a little after that.
Yesterday I worked 4-9:30, and we had some bitchy ass customers all night. But all was well cuz I had lots of visitors, (thanks Jare/Liz/Phu/Brian haha). After that busted home and hadta wait like an hour for Jared to come get me to go to Kaches cuz he was in Tolland, and then hadta bring his sister and her friends home, (check out my webshots and see all the pics I took of myself because I was bored waiting around for him hahaha.) But we finally busted over around 11:30 and hung out with those kids around the fire for awhile. Always a good time. After everyone left it was just Kache, me, Jared, Manda, and Phu, and we like slept/watched SNL together.
Today I slept late, (loveee that), and then went to Brians to pick up my 24 tape since JAMIEEE IS HOMEEEE! haha... then went to the mall to visit her at work. And realized that I need a snowball dress... eh. When Jamie gets home from work were having a 24/American Idol fest.. and then Mike is comin home so my entire family is eating dinner together for the first time in awhile, (were all pretty much in love sometimes haha) and then watching HP4. All five of us haha. Love it.
Tomorrow is the last CAPT day, so were goin to Olive Garden I think? Sweet deal. Then malling with Jamie probably for a Snowball dress. <3 Whew, I made it through that long entry haha. I'm surprised <3<3<3
