Day 02- Your Least Favorite Song
At the current moment I hate whatever Tejano music the people in the apartment below me are blaring.
But for real- I hate John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change" song. WHAT THE FUCK? Not a good melody for starters. And those lyrics? It's an anthem for apathy. It literally says, we know things are bad but we can't fix them. So we're going to wait for the world to change before we do anything. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. Ugh. Asshole.
Day 03- Song That Always Makes You Happy
This is a tie between Stevie Wonder's "You Can Feel it All Over" and The Temptations "Ain't Too Proud To Beg."
I mean "You Can Feel it All Over"- it's there in the title. Sunny, bright, lots of brass, upbeat. Wooo!
"Ain't Too Proud To Beg" probably comes from one too many viewings of The Big Chill with my mom. On a side note, almost every song by The Temptations is this way. It's about being dumped, a world going to hell, a girlfriend who cheats, having a deadbeat dad, etc and yet they are so damn upbeat. Like, "Yes I'm sad. Yes my life is going to hell. Yes I'm missing you. Also, we can do the twist to this song."
