why am i still going to school?

i am currently working on a paper and a 30 minute presentation on this quote alone. of course, it's pretty damn cool that i get to do this on one of my most favorite short stories ever. yet it makes it more difficult in so many other ways. sometimes i want to skip ahead to when everything is all figured out and i'm peacefully asleep. smartest thing i've never/ever said.
