Adrianna wasn’t planned but then again she wasn’t exactly unwanted either. Oblivious to the way that Haylie felt about him, Ethan carried on obeying the rules and not fraternising with any members of the team, unlike many of the others who seemed content to bend or break the rules to suit their whims. When the team finally disbanded Ethan remained on camp, as did Haylie, much to his surprise. Their friendship over the last couple of years had grown and without the rules of the camp in place Ethan and Haylie finally got it together.
Their relationship wasn’t exactly easy to say the least, both strong willed and opinionated at times their relationship seemed more like a battle of wills than two consenting adults. And then Haylie discovered she was already two months pregnant. Ever the gentleman Ethan proposed, after a heated debate about whether this was for the right reasons and Haylie agreed.
Three months later they were married and four months after that little Adrianna Rose Sykes was born.
1) Still bound to the military Ethan moved to Houston with Haylie and Adrianna when she was a year old. She’s used to being a ‘military brat’, moving from city to city and from camp to camp because wherever Daddy goes, Mommy and Adrianna go too.
2) An odd mix of her parents abilities Adrianna revealed when she was eleven her powers which happened to be invulnerability and kinetic absorption. This gave her the ability to absorb forms of kinetic energy into herself and utilize it in some way, such as by converting it into physical strength or using it to power energy blasts. Adrianna would rather put her powers to good use though and with guidance from her parents has learnt how to control them.
3) Her passion for learning was apparent from an early age and Adrianna actually longs to be a teacher. That’s why she’s studying to become a kindergarten teacher.
