'you drive me crazy, i just can't sleep. i'm so excited, i'm in too deep.'- britney spears
words so true, so true.
the ipod is an ever-increasing source of answers for me. i ask it for advice all the time, and it always gives it to me straight. you call it the shuffle function...i call it a prophet of the cosmos! what should i do, what should i say, how will i know... you ask it, and the ipod tells you. just hit play.
right now i'm actually being forced to listen to an 'african playground' cd for kids. it's blaring from the back room of the yoga studio where i volunteer in exchange for classes. there is a class being given for 3 year olds, and they are loving it. i can totally dig it too, but i will not be making 'froggy legs' and going across the floor with them i am afraid. ha ha. without taking too much credit, my life is really wonderful right now. it's such a pleasure to work, then break from work in the middle of the week and completely exercise the creative arts with acting class, and walks in parks, and of course yoga. then work some more, and then do it all again. i think the difference is that i am finally able to appreciate where i am, instead of being upset for things not being a certain way. and fine, i'll admit it, the acting class and the acting class crush is doing wonders for my self esteem.
this weekend we're going to Atlantic City! i think you know how i feel about leaving the city when everyone else leaves the city, journal. i have gots to win some money. i'm really not joking because i need to hit it big! while i think amber and nina will try and hold me back at the tables, i am counting on std to encourage me to bet the house. or the farm. which one do you bet at a casino?
tomi is in the hopspital. no one called me. no one called me! i don't know who would have called, but it upset me that by chance i learned of him having already been there for three days. three days is a long time. but let me not be too dramatic. he says they'll let him out tomorrow. and that the city will pay his bills because he makes out as a charity case. it was weird to say goodbye, weirder to know that i still can't close the book on this chapter just yet.
attention hillary clinton: give it up bitch.
now that LOST is off of the television for the next two weeks, i think i'll devote thursday nights to finalizing my east hampton and mexico city plans. east hampton is actually work, but the company has a huge house out there, and i'm getting to go with my two best work friends: janine and amanda. they're only 21, but they are light years ahead of their time, and i enjoy hanging with these two gorgeous girls that force me to be the best i can be. but MC is not coming together so well. having damien live two blocks over for the next two months should have made planning it all the easier, but he drags his feet. amber and i have jobs and rent to think about, and it would be so helpful if he would get enthusiastic about our visit. i also need my parents to get on the same page about my visit home in july. you would think they would make it as easy on me as possible to get everything done in a mere four days, but no. they overlap schedules, plan work conferences, bullshit. they don't even contribute to my tickets, you would they could at least just be there when i get home. what parents treat a visit home like an everyday event? mine do. and it makes me stronger. the definition of home keeps changing, but my heart is always in the right place.
alright, time to jet from the studio and move on to the next episode. what's next ipod?
