Chamber Music Concert is over! It actually went pretty well...both times. My first year friend Ian Mcpherson was a bit late with the video camera, so the first two acts (aka Me and Jane Hoffman) had to do our pieces again for the camera. It was kinda funny. I was less nervous the second time. Not quite sure why I get nervous after all this time. Anyway, I was glad I made my vocal chamber musical debut today. To all of my friends and family who came: thank you. Your support meant alot to me.
Now I just have: a) the orchestra concert b) convince sungrai to let me out of doing the workshop wednesday without really dissapointing him...and then its forging onward to: a) Neil Arditi poetry test with Essay component due wednesday b) Italian conference paper draft due thursday c) Italian final a week from tomorrow, and d) Neil final paper due a week from friday!
This coming week is really the week and weekend that count. A week from friday I will be moving out and getting ready for my flight to Italy on the 29th! I'm so excited. Honnestly. I just can't wait for everything to be over. I must pace myself and do things right so I can be proud of myself. I want to leave Sarah Lawrence proud of what I did this semester: a) achidemically, b) musically, and c) socially. I am glad I stayed for first semester. Alot of things did not turn out the way I expected. However, I think all in all it was a good thing. For those things I am currently dissapointed in (aka my lack of passion and drive in violin at present) I know will get better in the long run.
I'm going to go write/watch frasier--->go over to marshall field...after wonderful Mandela Masala and organic Rose Bud tea! Yum!
