Here we go  ε=┌(;*´Д`)ノ

or

         Version #1: colored                      Version #2: printer-friendly

1) Download, print, and cut-out the Matsujun doll pattern. Use pattern as a guide to cut each piece(s)--# specified in parenthesizes--of material.

2) Head/face: sew eyes, eyebrows, and mouth to head 1 piece. Sew hair [front] along the hairline to head 1 (a). Next, sew head 1 to head 2 from end to end (going around the chin); DO NOT SEW AROUND THE ENTIRE HEAD BECAUSE YOU NEED AN OPENING FOR STUFFING (b). Currently, the head is sewed (w/ top open) and only the hair [back] is missing. Attach hair [back] to the hair [front] from ear to ear (c). Add stuffing. To ensure that the stuffing does not come out, sew hair [back] to head 2 from ear to ear (d). You should have a completely sewn head.

*Optional: Add blush right below the eyes for extra kawaii-ness.

3) Arms: This is the most difficult part since it is very detail-oriented on a small component. Sew the sleeves to hands (e). On each badge, use red thread to sew a rectangle. Inside the rectangle, add 2 gold beads. Take your fancy gold trim and attach it around the badge. Make 3 loops with your fancy gold ribbon and attach it to ONLY ON ONE OF THE BADGES (f). Attach a badge in the middle of the sleeve and sew. Next, sew along the sleeve and hand; leaving the top of the sleeve open (e; dark purple). Add stuffing.

4) Body: sew t-shirt, jacket [front], collar, pants, 2 shoes and 3 belt pieces to one of the body 1. Also sew 6 gold beads to both sides of the jacket (g). For more details, sew a necklace with grey thread or add a real necklace. On the body 2 piece, sew the jacket [back], 2 shoes, and 2 belt pieces. Add 2 gold beads above the "V" on the jacket [back] (h). Pin the arms to the body [1 or 2] and sew the body 1 to body 2; DO NOT SEW THE NECK PART YET (h; dark purple). Add stuffing, then sew up the neck part.

**VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure the arm that has the badge with the 3 looped gold ribbon is on the right side.

5)  Head+Body: With great balance and stabilizing pins, secure the head to the body and squeeze your new Matsujun plush because you are ~*~DONE~*~!!!!!!! YATTA!!! :D

Good luck to everyone! Happy sewing~~~ヽ(o`皿′o)ノ
(PS: If anyone makes their own Matsujun/Arashi doll, it would be grateful if you'd post photos :P)
