The (sole, Sheila thinks) positive thing about being unemployed is that it gives you lots of free time. As she enters the Fin on Christmas eve, she carries a paper sack loaded down with goodies for her fellow captives citizens.
She begins with
Madeline and
Michael.
Maddy is somewhat easy to please, she thinks; in a small box wrapped with paper emblazoned with silver wrapping and red ribbon (neatly and carefully ordered, of course), there are six packs of Marlboro Reds and a fresh pair of playing cards.
To Madeline - To replace what ye have lost and to facilitate what ye might gain,
Fondly - Lady Sheila
Michael is, of course, a harder case. She figures that he would appreciate formality and simplicity, and so gets him two ten-dollar gift cards, good at any S-Mart.
Michael - The yogurt is upon Aisle 12. Treat thyself well.
In health - Lady Sheila
Sheila's concerns for
Samantha revolve around Charlie. She has brought her a small but well-wrapped box (the paper is red and green and golden, a vertical hold of multiple colors), and inside Samantha will find elegantly refined stationary of red and green borders and a blue fountain pen. The card is not formally a Christmas card, but is an amusing scene of sleds in the snow that Sheila found attractive.
Samantha - perhaps ye may reach Charlie this way. My thoughts are with thee.
Sincerely - Lady Sheila
Fiona's is the easiest. At her door she places a carefully-wrapped box, dress-shirt sized, and a card. Inside, Fiona will find a carefully-wrapped white dress, much in the style she favors and wears, trimmed with antiqued Honitian lace.
Fiona - In payment for all ye've given to me this year. We shall wear our dresses together in the summer months in the park, and read in the light, and for a moment's time there will be peace.
In Sisterhood - Lady Sheila
In Ash's appartment, She first leaves
Cheryl A giftbag filled with tubes of paint and a small pallate.
Cheryl - not to fill the hours, but to improve them.
In Sisterhood - Lady Sheila
Ash has been left for last, hasn't he? She surely has not forgotten him. They say all good things come in threes....
First, she has brought them tomorrow's dinner - a fully-roasted chicken and containers of mashed potatoes and stuffing, and big containers of cranberry sauce and corn that she will, damn it, force him to eat. There are buttery Parker House rolls and a large container of vegetable soup to begin - he'll have to reheat them tomorrow, but they're there, and probably the best meal he's had in weeks.
Under the tree lies something she has, of course, made for him - inside of a garment box the next morning, he will find a thick sweater, hand-knit of nubby green yarn. The craftsmanship will be fairly obvious, and the durability of the material good enough to last
His card reads:
Love,
I believe we shall have less blue this year; it bespeaks of hours gone past, and green suggests new hope. New hope is what we have now. Wear this in health and think of me, and my hands upon it, for it touches upon thee when I cannot.
I am yours and I shall be thine always,
Sheila
The third present is something rather personal. As she quickly showers and brushes out her long hair, Sheila knows, wryly, that this will be his favorite gift, the simplest one, the one that truly risks her the least.
With that thought, she slides between the sheets of his bed, completely nude, and awaits his arrival off the midnight shift.
Yes, Ashley Williams, there is a Santa Claus...
(OOC: Backdated likewoah to Christmas Eve, after Sheila meets Michael and after Maddy's entrence into the Fin and before Shawn's. A wee bit of adult content in the cut tag for Ash, but nothing else in anyone else's. IC comments and threads welcome - feel free to have your pup catch Sheila at the door or whatever. Unless you're Ash, then you have to settle for catching her...well, you'll see ;) )
