Backyard of 29 Chimera Court, Sunday Afternoon

There were boxes waiting for those who received detention from Deadpool today. Two of 'em.

Okay, so maybe having kids do the work for him wasn't exactly ethical, but it totally worked just fine of you asked Deadpool. Plus, he got him out of figuring out directions on swings and a slide that may or may not actually be in English.

Score!

Riiiight. Okay. Bobby was here, staring at the directions and wondering if maybe he was holding them upside down?

Nope.

Okay, now he was just contemplating throwing the directions away and guessing how the whole thing went together.

"D'you think - did they forget t'write all th' words?" George asked, trying to read over Bobby's shoulder.

"...possibly we're supposed to - I don' even know," he said, making a face. "'M thinkin' if we took that literally, twouldn't be appropriate for a two year old."

Kyle made his way down after closing up the library early. "Hey," he greeted. "What's a bilge dasto?"

"We could ignore the instructions and make it from a picture if there is one," Kyle suggested.

George nodded. "Aye, I'd be goin' wit' that. We can always make it stronger if we need t'do later."

"Makes sense to me," Bobby agreed. "As long as we don't discard the bump on the inside, I guess. They seem pretty adamant about that."

"Aren't instructions supposed to make sense?" Kyle asked as he started laying out all of the pieces in an order that seemed to work.

"P'raps they do if ye speak whatever language they're in," George suggested, poking at the funny colored plastic pieces. "What's a kid needin' all this for anyway?"

"It's a playset. For playing. So kids don't grow up with TV as their only source of entertainment." Because that was totally a danger considering who was raising her, really.

"Playing," Kyle repeated, not getting it. He shook his head. "I'll never understand some of the things people used to do." He pointed out two sets of pieces, then pointed to the swingset picture. "I think those make the frame of that one. It looks the easiest. The two triangles with a bar across each, then the big bar across the whole thing, then you hang the stuff off top."

"Sounds good t'me," George grabbed one of the top joints and set about attaching it to the poles. He shook his head. "Tisn't no call for this in th' Lower City either. No teevee either though so p'hraps that's it."
