They were by Antarctica.
Deadpool had managed to dig up a random weetiny jacket for Max to wear on the walk around town. Yes, he was going for a walk. You could only spend so much in the house, watching fashion shows before your brain started to melt.

"No, Max. I'm not carrying you." Max just continued to make big eyes at him, in hopes of not having to deal with the moderately chilly weather.
Man did he hope they'd run into some dinosaurs. That would be fun.
