It was a good weekend. And now you all have to hear about it.

Inga and I went to three of the museums downtown. I appreciated that the contemporary art museum was so small because, while I enjoy contemporary art, I get overwhelmed by it in bulk. The children's museum was brilliant--the exhibits were perfect for kids, and I also enjoyed them. We went through it kind of fast though, since it's also small and it was the free Sunday of the month so there were a million children running everywhere. The veteran's museum was probably my favorite of the three. I didn't read even half of the information on the plaques, but the displays were really cool, including lots of authentic stuff from various wars as well as reproductions, manikins set up to act things out (although the manikins were really...short), and life-sized army equipment.

The coolest thing, though, was this functioning periscope they had that went up through the ceiling. We were expecting it to be fake, but when we looked through it, SURPRISE THERE'S THE CAPITAL. It even spun around 360 degrees. Grandiose.

Inga and Nate are dating now in an official sort of way. :\ It's weird and awkward for me.

OH. MAN. I finished my steampunk pony except for a couple of little additions I need to make. She is awesome. I'll post a link when I upload her to the website.

I really need to uh start doing all the things I wanted to do over the summer. :\ It's ridiculous that I'm bored all the time when I have plenty I could (and should) be doing. Blah.

I really want it to be lunchtime so I can eat these cherries I bought at the fruit stand. D:
