I have a little too much time on my hands right now, so...here's a tour of my new apartment!
413 Pawling St. My apartment's on the first floor to the left of the door.
Here's the livingroom. It gets a million pictures because it's HUGE.
The room from the front door. It came out really dark for some reason. There's Inga.
The wall that would be on the right of the front door. The entryways go into the hallway and dining area of the kitchen.
Inga again. This is the room from behind the couch, looking at the front door.
The last part of the livingroom. We put Inga's desk in here (and all of our books, too) because her room is tiny. You'll see.
Here's the first part of the hallway. On the left, the doorway goes into the kitchen. On the right, there's a closet, the bathroom, and straight ahead, barely visible is Inga's room. Notice the awesome wood flooring. Hard flooring>carpet.
The kitchen from the hallway. This kitchen is way bigger than the one in my last place. We have a million board games on those shelves, and those lights are REALLY BRIGHT.
This is the kitchen again, from the other end. I love that stove. So much more convenient than one you have to bend over to get at. The light in this part of the kitchen is pitiful, so it's lucky the fan light is like a MINI SUN.
The big kitchen and livingroom are balanced out by this TEENY bathroom. The shower/tub is to the right, but I didn't figure you needed to see a picture of it (plus, I would have had to stand in the toilet and...no). We had to put the shelving up because combined, we somehow have a LOT of stuff that goes in the bathroom (in my defense, most of it is Inga's).
Here's the other half of the hallway. The first doorway on the right is Inga's room, the second is my room, and the closed door straight ahead is the linen closet.
Inga's room also gets a million pictures because it cracks me up.
That's the bed. It's really huge and soft.
This is the room from the far corner. The wooden square behind that purse is a laundry chute that goes down to the basement. It's really exciting because I've never had a laundry chute, let alone a basement before.
This is looking directly across the room from the doorway. That door? That's the back door. In the bedroom. Inga got this room, because the parking is in the back and she's the one who has a car. Also, you may have noticed that Inga likes Van Gogh.
Thus, my room is the bigger of the two. And it looks even bigger because all of my books are in the livingroom, so there's not much in it.
My room from the doorway. Exciting.
My room from the window at the head of the bed. For some reason, I couldn't get very good pictures of my room. But ignore that and look at the hubcap. That's my memento of my car. I call it The Hubcap that Lived.
This user icon kind of reminds me of my dad. He makes a face similar to that, sometimes.
