Final Fantasy X-2
This entry brought to you by me killing time until the AC guy shows up because I can't take a shower until then.
This game is painful for me to play. x_x;; Tidus isn't in it, is the biggest problem--you have no idea how incredibly sad that makes me--and all the weird crap happening on Spira is another big one. Like...Zanarkand being a tourist attraction and the Machine Faction taking over Djose Temple, etc. And Brother's still a freak, but it's not as loveable anymore because he's being a freak everytime I get onto the Celsius and sometimes when I'm not even ON the Celsius and it's annoying.
And then there's Yuna's personality change, which, having witnessed them a bit after playing the game for four hours last night, I can kind of understand. That doesn't mean I have to like them, though. And of course, the battle system's all wonky for me, because I'm not good at thinking quickly enough to fight in a battle that isn't completely turn based. It's not as bad as Kingdom Hearts, and it's sometimes looks cool and has a cool outcome, but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. And the dress spheres and grids are just...I'm not sure what to think about them. In some ways they're really handy, and in some ways they're really limiting. It's also really, really frustrating that I spent so much time leveling two of my party members up in the first game and now they're back to not because able to do much at all. XD;;;
...And Tidus isn't there! T_T
But, good stuff! In her warrior thingy, it's incredibly awesome that Yuna not only uses Tidus's sword, but does pretty much all the same movements he does, and says "See ya" when she kills a fiend, and her hair's all flippy and reminiscent of his and she's awesome. ._. Gippal's kind of cool, and Rikku's still awesome, and Paine's okay. I have yet to really form any opinion on her other than that she's the token Auron-esque-but-not-nearly-as-awesome-as-Auron-character that they needed because they wanted your party to be all female and they killed Auron off anyway. Also, Wakka and Lulu = <3 even though Lulu looks not at all pregnant enough for her baby to be kicking.
That doesn't make up for Tidus's absence though.
