I very tentatively think I might want to try cosplaying America from Hetalia at Nekocon this year, if only because I think bomber jackets are the bee's knees. Also, I already have glasses and so does he. So I have a few questions to put out to you, my adoring public.
1) Where would be the best place to find a brown bomber jacket with black fur trim around the collar?
2) Alternatively, if I can find something close, can one of you costume-savvy folks help me add a fur trim to an existing jacket?
3) How easy/difficult would it be to modify such a jacket to add the requisite patches and whatnot required for the character (as far as I've seen, a star on the front and a big '50' on the back of the jacket)?
4) How do I get my hair blonde for the weekend and back to its normal color for work on Monday?
Everything else I can probably take care of myself by hitting up army surplus stores, since the rest of the costume basically just boils down to military fatigues. I couldn't really find any good full-body pictures of the character to link to this post, either, but I'll try to take some screencaps from episodes when I get home or something.
