I see now that that was a pretty incoherent entry.
I did get $$ from the government; I've been working on this rebate for years and it's damn nice it went back to 1998. Very relieving if not more than a bit strange to not be flat broke ALL the time.
Mom's friend (who's somewhere around 94-96, I can never remember) had her daughter move in with her. Only lasted for a few months when the daughter just 'dropped' one morning. They don't know whether an aneurysm caused a massive heart attack, or the other way around, but she was braindead after they got her on life support. She'd been having blackouts for a while, but it was still unexpected. She was only 51. :(
And I've been feeling old, while my kids are enjoying animecons, music fests and all the other shit I've been too broke to let them go to for the past few years. They're having a good time, though, and it's nice to see. :)
I hope you're well and feeling not to bad. I've been off this thing for a while, as now that I can, we're fixing up things that need to be fixed and I'm putting a herb/salad garden in the backyard (trampoline is now officially down for the year).
Be well Snowy! Be well and happy and I'll try to influence reality and send you some joy and good fortune! :)
The connection's good but I still have to get a better puter. My brother sent out a thinkpad for me, but it's got awful memory storage and I have to share it. :(
I'm trying to get a networked thing going on downstairs so both girls have use of a tablet, drawing programs and two monitors. I'm justifying it by thinking that they're going to do something with their art. I'm trying to get the basement reno'd so they have two stations, at least one good tablet, a drafting table/animation desk and a lightboard. It'll be really nice if I can figure out how/where I'm going to fit it all in. :)

Glad the kids are enjoying themselves. It's awesome to see kids smile and laugh.
Sorry to hear about your mom's friend and her daughter. That's sad, but I'm sure she's in a happier place.

Soon I will have control of the mini laptop!
