A random post about television

It's likely not a secret that I watch too much TV. I tend to keep shows I like on in the background while I do other things, because that's one of the few times that I do get to watch TV. I'm lucky enough that I can watch TV at work on my night shifts, too, which helps to pass the time (that and the internet!). The net result is that I actually end ( Read more... )

First off, I love this post. I am so grateful for the storytellers.

But secondly, I have tried to watch Shameless but I just cannot. It breaks my heart over and over and pushes my credulity so hard, I had to watch, peeking between my fingers. Even my heartless husband gave up on it.

I need a new drug.

Oh, it's hard to watch, that's for sure. The only thing that stretches my credulity is the hail-Mary saves that happen so very often on the show. Honestly, the way they usually end up saved from the brink of financial disaster so often is nothing short of miraculous.

The rest? The rest feels painfully real. The kids all break my heart.
