Genesis
I just love the band Genesis. That is why this is called Genesis.
This weekend wasn't too terrible.
Friday we had a freak snow storm, which burned off like 8 inches of snow by work on Saturday.
Friday night I had half of a potbar that Red bought for me. It was my dessert. I didn't feel really anything and went to bed a bit disappointed. Red woke me up at 6 to take him to the bus station on Saturday, however, and I was high as a kite. I got about a half hour of sleep after I dropped him at the bus station, but I was still flying when I went to work. It made Saturday fairly pleasant. I was high until 10AM. It was interesting... and fun. Also, I got unbanned from my BPD forum. I'm so excited!
Saturday night Red, Mom and I went to Roller Derby. It was the first bout of the season and I was excited to see how my girls were doing. They got a contracted stadium now, the 1st Bank Event Center (previously the Broomfield Events Center). We filled that place with over 4000 people, which is a Colorado record. I was really excited about it.
My girls are doing well. Angela Death, my favorite, is still making it look easy out there. Fonda Payne is the new captain of the Bad Apples, which makes sense since Wicked Sister (last year's captain) didn't play as well this time around. She's fast, but having issues getting through the pack. Lynnsane got her butt beat, but she's still fast. She just needs some help getting through the pack. Needs to be sneakier. Juska is one of the best players out there at this point, and I'm pretty stoked about that, as well. Fawn Stalking is looking particularly good this year. Speed and grace are definitely showing more than they did last year.
Kendra Blood is looking good, she's new. She's fast and can beat her way through the pack. She needs some work, but she looks promising.
Deadly Long Legs (36" legs) is looking REALLY promising. She's new, too. She's thin and lanky like Fawn, but much taller. She's fast too. A little more practice and I bet she makes Mile High Club.
I love Roller Derby.
Sunday we got up at 930, despite my intense want to sleep. There was a library closing and Red had told me about it so that I could go get a bunch of books for under a dollar. I got 20 books... paid $10. I was excited.
His mother is tailoring a suit for me, so we had lunch over there.
Flavor of the Week was interesting. We had Andrew, Lindz, Jacoda, Morgain and even Robbie & Lydia showed up for a little bit. I went to bed early because I was falling asleep on the sofa. Shortly after Lindz, Andrew and Morgain left. So Jacoda and Mike watch SLC Punk before he came to bed. The aftermath is pretty bad, but I'll fix it.
Anyway... that's my weekend.
I have jury duty for the first time ever today. I'm not excited. It's cutting into my work time.
