Fashion, food, and fun
I realize that my only interests in life are food and fashion. I love to shop and I love to eat. These things they require lots of money to maintain. I shall have to work on this. First things first. Quit getting fired by easy to do jobs just because I don't file paper work. Second: graduate! Which means do my work!
Pandasama, Panda Roommate, and I went to a fashion history talk today. Followed by a reception which had olives, cheese and crackers. Oh what a wonderful combination. The lady was hilarious. I believe one of the things she mentioned was "Fashion is to France as the navy is to England." She even had images of all the pretty clothes from the different centuries. I was really excited when I recognized Queen Elizabeth of Austria. Yay Takarazuka for teaching my history!
Then for the first time in my four years in college I went to a straight talk where people shared their coming out stories or just their experience being gay and being asian/indian/minority of sorts. It's really interesting to come to terms with how I do not identify with any of these groups. Yes I'm a minority, but that's really just something that I was born as. It is not my identity. And I always get the feeling when I go to these minority things and listen to people talk that they really do believe that they are their country/religion/sexual identification. Perhaps that's not really how it is and I should really talk more with these people and learn more about them, but that's my first impression of most of these people.
