Frequently Asked Questions *
Please read the FAQ before you ask a question.
Q: Do I have to credit if I take an icon?
A: YES! Its only appropriate to credit the creator of an icon. Not crediting is just like stealing in the icon world.
If you take something please remember to put
mousey_creation or
roguemouse in the keywords or comments section when uploading the icon.
If you don't know how to do this, then please read
this tutorial.
Q: Do I have to credit if I use your stock icons/graphics?
A: Yes and no - it's not obligatory, but it is greatly appreciated.
Q: What graphic programs do you use?
A: I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Adobe ImageReady 7.0.
Q: What programs do you use to make your screencaps?
A: I use my trusty old BestPlayer 2.130 (beta) or KMPlayer.
Q: Can I edit your icons/graphics?
A: NO. With two exceptions:
- if they are base icons.
- if you get my permission (you can either comment in the post with the icons/graphics or - preferably - send me an e-mail to: roguemousey AT yahoo DOT pl).
Important note: if you edit my icons/graphics, you still need to credit
mousey_creation or
roguemouse as the original icons/graphics maker.
Q: Can I host your icons/graphics on my fansite?
A: Yes. Only if I am notified and proper credit is given as well as a link back to this journal.
Q: Do you take requests?
A: Yes - in separatelly posted
Request PostsI also have a
Suggestion Box. Q: May I nominate your icons/graphics at awards communities?
A: Of course! If you feel an icon/graphic of mine is worthy of a nomination, who am I to stop you? I can only be honored. Though if you do nominate my work, I'd love it if you let me know - I have to know where to send all those "thank you" cookies.
Q: I commented, why didn't I get a reply?
A: I'm a very busy girl - unfortunately creating graphics and icons isn't the only thing I do. I don't always have the time to reply right away, but I usually get to it. Unless my procrastination kicks in. So don't worry if it takes me a few days to reply to your comment. However please rememeber that I appreciate all my comments and I read each and every one of them.
Q: What font did you use for that icon?
A: If you wish to know what font was used, please ask in the comments to the post which contains the icon/font in question.
