I wonder if things are actually more painful when you're younger or if you simply get used to pain. I was waiting to get a blood test for mono (I really doubt I have it, just so you know) and a little boy went in for his very first blood test. A few seconds after the door closed, I heard TERRIFYING SCREAMS from the room and shouts of the nurse saying things like, "It's ok! It's ok!" and "That's it! That's the worst part!" -- which, by the way, is often a lie because the most painful, if you can still call them painful, parts of needles is the putting in and the taking out -- and I just thought to myself, "Aww. Poor little dewd." I remember one of my first blood tests and how I was in tears by the end of it (I was never a screamer, just a silent crier). Nowadays, it really is just a pinch. I had to get two blood tests today (one on each arm) and I thought to myself how much more the little kid would cry if he found out he had to have two. Ah well. He had a gameboy (DS!), which I'm sure helped him recover from the trauma.
Speaking of needles, I think I'm getting an IV sedation in April. I wonder what "being tipsy" will feel like.
BTW, Mitsy, on my way home I got some frozen yogurt at that Tasti D-light (or however it's spelled) that we spent hours in front of talking on the street. Do you remember that?
It's my daddy's birthday!
Catch you later!
