the festival del mar was fabulous.
except that we missed the english beat. who knew they were still around? or around again?
but we didn't miss karl denson's tiny universe, or blackalicious, or donovan frankenreiter (although, to be honest, i find him a jack johnson-esque bore, so andy and i walked around during his set), or jason mraz. jason's (pink) shirt said "tp is my gf". i find her boring as well. not to be catty.
his set was good -- he played some new stuff and some old stuff, and danced like a dork, and toca played too. and all i had to worry about was being passed out on by the really tall guy in front of me. and having terrible pictures taken of me by aran.
it was nice to listen to jason while the sun went down and turned everything as pink as his shirt. (which was quite pink.)
