Me: "Well, there'll be me and V, and Richard and Ben."
Dad: "You and V and..."
Me: "Richard and Ben, Dad."
Dad: "Richard and Ben, Richard... and Ben... are..."
Me: "Huh?"
Dad: (after a very long pause) "...are they... males, these two?"
Me: "Yes, Dad, they are."
Dad: "Oh." (looks distinctly rattled; long pause) "So who else is going?"
Me: "Andrew and David and Emma."
Dad: "...Are they homosexual too?"
I think he subconsciously believes it's contagious.
