Ooooh, Big Bang! I'm not as far along as I'd like either, also due to Real Life being a pain. *glares at misbehaving computer* I'm only a little over 7,700 words right now... *headdesk*
You're watching Defying Gravity, too? Awesome! It's got a lot of what attracted me to Stargate in the first place; it's set in the present (or near-future, in the case of DG), so the people and the lifestyles and technology are familiar, yet it's in space, and there's the mysterious creepy story with Beta and what it's agenda might be. Fun, fun, fun!
Glad to know I'm not the only one! Once I finally get time to write, the writer's block hits and I don't get much more than 500 words down.
I love present or near-future shows; they can't just Star Trek everything, they have got to follow our basic technology rules. And beta and what its doing to the crew reminds me of all the fun sci-fi thrillers like the Sphere, only better. (Though I really like the ending plot twist to The Sphere...)
Ooooh, cherie! Keep me updated about the job! We'll be as close as we can possibly get.
I will say this much about faire folk/employers, they seem to vanish and just when you think you'll never hear from them, they pop back up with 'Oh yeah! Start tomorrow!'
Well I certainly hope they pop up! I keep calling the lady back and haven't gotten a response, so I may call the nut lady and see if she still has an opening. Though I'd prefer the French, because then I can practice my French and make a new charictor... My original was English, and I still want to play her, but she's too upper class to be properly doing this job, lol!
