I want an iPod! I can't really afford a fancy-dancy iPod...but I want some sort of small MP3 player that I can load some tunes on to listen to when I start walking on my lunch hour (when it warms up of course)! I have the same one as freecookiesnow and I adore it because it holds tons of music, videos and pictures, though it does have its drawbacks, such as the overstated battery length and the vulnerability to scratching. If you want the battery to last the promised amount of time, you can't use any of the fun features, including equalizer. And you need to keep it in a case to prevent surface marks, which kind of defeats the purpose of it being all shiny and pretty. But I digress.

For $150, you can go with the 1G version of the iPod Nano. It's nice and small, and if you don't intend to store a lot of music on your MP3 player, it's ideal. I went for the 30G because I like having a lot of my music available to me at all times, plus it's handy for long trips. If the only place you're going to use your MP3 is for exercise though, I'd say go with the small one. If you think you'll become addicted to using your iPod like I am, save up and get the big one. There are, of course, other brands out there, but iPod is all I know, and it's the most popular one on the market.

Yeah, so I was in the middle of a response to you from work when my boss came in acting like a tool!

So, I met bigferret for dinner tonight and she gave me the MP3 player that she doesn't use anymore! So, I am gonna get me some earphones and go with that for now...so at least I will have music and I can save up to get an iPod! *happy dance*

But I think I will go with the Nano. I checked it out nd it holds about 500 songs which is good enough for working out and plane rides and whatnot!
