So the last time I typed anything on here it was a private post - mostly just an internal rant about how crappy I felt despite how well things were going. I felt like crap because I was really overwhelmed with everything in life. But now I'm actually feeling much better about most things. Things in the house are coming along well enough. Yes it's still dirty in spots, but it's not a huge deal anymore. If I spent one day of concerted effort everything would be clean. I do need to finish up in the nursery but that shouldn't be a problem. I just finished my part of the closet project in there, and this weekend we should...hopefully...get the closet painted. Then I just have to build some shelving and a little cage-ish-thingy for the radiator and that room's done...at least for now. I'm also feeling better about my job. Oh, sure I'm still over-worked there and over-stressed, but it's getting better because I'm not demanding 100% of myself there atall times. That, and the workload is lightening, somewhat so that's nice. I take a couple fresh air breaks per night, which is helpful, and I've just given myself permission to take some "me" time there occasionally, which REALLY helps. As far as my social life, it's in about the same state as before. But it looks like Rick and Jenn will be moving to hte area so I no longer really have to worry about that as much. I still have Scott, and I see Meghan more than I used to. I am no longer concerned about making new friends - it will happen at its own pace, naturally. Finally, as far as the baby that's going better too. I'm less nervous and more excited now. I think it's going to be great. Of course I'm going to lose sleep and be stressed, but I also get to take some time off, which will help. I'm just looking forward to meeting him and playing and stuff. It's going to be terrific. Well, I'm gonna head to bed now. I'm sufficiently tired and got my update done. I hope everybody's doing good out there in internet-land. Until next time, keep your stick on the ice.
