Had a good day today. Went out to dad's house and hung out. Shelly made THE most delicious quiche with contrelle mushrooms that they've been gathering on their property. I mean this stuff was amazing! Apparently these mushrooms go for like $50/lb so it was pretty amazing food. After dinner and hanging out, we went out to pick blueberries. All 4 of us picked, and we got a gallon over the course of about an hour. That's two big zip-lock bags mostly full - should last us until next year's blueberry season.

I got home tonight and Mandy has been helping me with ideas for where to apply for work. Our combined effort has unearthed several new sources for potential jobs, which is very helpful. I'll apply for those over the next few days.

I'm getting to the end of the 6th Dresden book, Blood Rites. It's awesome. I'm going through books very rapidly lately, which is cool. I'm about to slow myself down a lot though because I'll be studying very hard for my ASWB exam starting with tomorrow night's shift. I plan to take this test before leaving the UP, so I'm going to have to get cracking on the studying.

I've mostly figured out my computer situation here. I'm sitting in a comfortable chair with a fan blowing on me with my kitty sitting next to me. It's pretty nice.

Life is good at the moment. Let's hope it stays that way for a while.
