Mandy and I have been banging our heads against the wall, trying to figure out exactly how we're going to do what we're planning on doing. There are so many things up in the air right now though, that we're just going to have to deal with things as they come along. Right now, she's scheduled to go up to WI next week Monday (May 3) to start working with her mom. I'm going to remain back home here to pack up stuff, to look for jobs, and to take care of the kitties.
I've got that job interview today. I looked into the company, and it looks like they do in-home assistance for mentally and physically disabled people. I think it's like home health aids that they're looking for. They didn't really go into too much detail in the job description, and their web-site didn't help a ton on that front either. However, they do pay 16-18.50 per hour, have good benefits (including health, dental, 401k, PTO/vacation, etc...). So I think that if things work out I might go with these guys temporarily - just to get myself to Wisconsin and to get health insurance. Mandy and I are looking at month-to-month apartments, so that if I find another job that is in a different area then we can move again if necessary.
Moving.....speaking of which....is going to SUCK!!! GAWD we just moved into this friggin place (on the 3rd floor, btw). Now I'm going to have to pack up all the shit and move it to friggin Wisconsin! The packing will be almost entirely my job (Mandy having to move up to WI ahead of me) but she'll come down for a long weekend so that we can get all the shit into a U-Haul and move it together. When we get it to WI we'll have to put it somewhere, whether that be a temporary apartment or a storage area...then we'll have to move it AGAIN in either of those cases. IF, however, I have a REAL job (i.e. one that I will keep long-term) then we'll only have to move once. Pretty good motivation to get a job quick, don't you think?
Speaking of which, I'm going to get on that right now. Later.
