Last night I watched The Late Show with Stephen Colbert which ended with a performance by the Amazing Acro-Cats - which of course ended as more of a demonstration of how little interest cats have in performing. But I had to give the ladies credit for their optimism....as we cat-owners know, _they_ train _us_. And then it hit me - the act I should put together: Angelina and the Amazing Martha! I credit myself as amazing because I believe I have learned more than the average cat-owner (well, she's a persistent teacher) - not just things like feeding her and opening the door for her. I have learned to act as a launching pad for assaults on greater heights (and to perform as a landing platform for the descent); I come when called; I can fetch toys; I can respond to signals to open the correct cabinet door for investigation; I even know the sign for when it is permissible to pick Angelina up (when hell freezes over). Now I just have to work that into an act....and persuade her to perform with me.
