They came back with the raise that I asked for (almost a 6% raise for a lateral move), and I accepted the job. I start Monday. Sort of. I'll largely be doing my current job for a while because they can't fill my position until the contract nonsense is straightened out.
Anyway, I'm excited. I think this is a good move for me, both career-wise and sanity-wise.
