so im at work today... doing my piddling around... making copies, when one of the guys comes in and needs the copier too... i wasn't upset, i just waited til my set was done and let him butt in... no problem... then he had to make a fax, but the line was busy... coincidence? oh, no. i say all of this to note how God works.... this man was kept in our office today because of a busy fax line and a set of copies...
no way, God had something else in mind.... my dad wasn't on the fone at that time, which was crazy because the rest of the day he was... so the guys stopped in his office and asked 2 simple questions... who is Jesus?, and what was His purpose on this earth? just about that time that my dad answered i walked in and my dad asked me if i would answer a couple questions... i agreed and i then went on to tell the man that Jesus was the son of God who came to save and forgive the world.
it turns out that the guy's son is doing a paper for school (a public school mind you) over the summer and it has to be a one page paper answering those two questions... anyone who is a christian could write ten, but all the school wanted wass simply 200 words... we spoke to the man and he commented on how he needed to start going to church and get his sons involved to...after that.. the fax line cleared up and the man was back to buisness as ususal. divine appointment was over.
i thought this was the neatest part of the day... my dad and i later commented on how it is interesting that we as christians always pray for opportunities, then turn them down as they slam us in the face... my, my, how stupid we are sometimes.... my dad later said sarcastically "boy, 'who is jesus and what was his purpose' Lord i sure wish you would give me a divine appointment..." heheh if you didn't understand that i'll explain later...
anyway, so that was the coolest part of my day. i just finished printing out some verses and stuff for that guys son, i hope that they help, and that these little bity seeds are watered... because i think it would be so cool for God to do something here... and he is! boy oh. boy! well thats all for now.
Opportunities and Seeds,
Mon
