I skipped class today to see The Dali Lama in Centennial Park. Rainy day but the place was still packed. We got a spot real close and if you watch any film coverage of the event you can see me and my family in the crowd. (I am wearing a red bandanna) He is a very sweet man and worth the wait. His talk was relatively general and accessible to the general Atlanta populace. Ideas of compassion and inner/outer peace, interconnectedness of peoples and religion and how he wasn't any different from all of us. I am so exhausted right now It's hard to summarize but I left feeling happy and loved.
and now for some art history! wheee
