FYI, the greenwich village orchestra (www.gvo.org), of which i am a member, will be having a performance in about two weeks. tickets are $10. more information can be found on the website.

The principal viola looks quite old compared to the principal chairs I normally see, especially compared to the your concertmaster.

ah, the principal viola has been around a long long long long time! he used to play in the met pit orchestra. he's gone now, though, because the director refused to program the viola concerto for next year's season. talk about diva, huh?

he was the sweetest man, though, and i'll miss him oodles.
