So I got back from Rick's house and dropping Mike off at his own house to find myself watching Comedy Central and on comes this comedian who is wearing a Kent State hat.

His act only said he was from Ohio, so I'm assuming it was somewhere near Kent or he went to Kent at one point or another.

Either way, I've expressed recently that I feel really awkward not packing up my shit and moving back to Kent , which was my home for the past year up until mid-July.

Not to take anything away from home (we all know I have a problem with my undying love for Buffalo), but I miss having 2 places where I felt like I belonged.

Some things have been a bit of a disappointment since I've returned, but I think the only reason I feel homesick for Ohio is the people. Only now do I realize that in the past 5 years there I knew, quite possibly, the best collection of people I could ever hope to encounter. I've sat around my house/neighborhood frequently the past month laughing about things from the most recent to times that reach all the way back to meeting my roommate my freshman year and blasting AFI out of my window on Halloween weekend, while Dane and others from Clark 2 Short yelled back at me to turn it up.

(Yes Dane, I'm writing you this week. I'm sorry it took so long.)

I went for a bike ride with Clukey the other day, and it reminded me of the epic trip to Cleveland that Thom and I did on my last day in Ohio. God I miss that kid. I was so glad he came up for that weekend earlier this month, but I regret not having off for it and not showing him more around here. I'll make sure to do that the next time anyone decides to go out of their way and see me up in Buffalo.

In short: I have no idea what I'm going to do now that this experience is over and I have to move on. As a complete reversal of my previous thoughts and dreams, I want to go back to Ohio at some point, for a time, and make sure I never lose touch with anyone down there that made my experience more memorable that I could have imagined.

So, anyone from Buffalo want to join me next month? I promise it'll be fun....
