[Personality]
Patient, soft-spoken, and forever understanding. These all ideas and so much more describe Ion. He’s quite calm in many situations, rarely ever appearing to be ruffled, shocked, etc. In fact, he even faces kidnapping with a smile and cheerful demeanour. That doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of feeling anything other than happy or cheerful, though. He’s quite capable of being angry, sad, upset, etc, but he’s just rather good at hiding behind a façade. A time when his mask broke was when he saw Sync die - he broke down crying, surprising everyone around him.
While not exactly blunt about things, he certainly has no problem with sharing his mind and he’s definitely not a pushover who’ll just agree with anything for the sake of agreeing and saving an argument. On the other hand, he also doesn’t go actively seeking arguments, either. He’s quite a diplomatic individual, always trying to resolve conflicts with words rather than actions. If he can talk someone into something or convince them to not be angry, this is all the better because he’d rather have resolution than conflict. Another thing he is good at is looking past the bad qualities of a person and finding the good qualities that they have deep inside. It doesn’t matter how bad a person is or what horrible things they have done - he will always believe that beneath that bad is good, even if they’ve done something horrible to him.
Ion is also loyal until the very end and very grateful for all of the kindness that others show to him. Friendship means a lot to him and his friends are forever close and dear to him. Even though Anise betrayed him and was a spy for Mohs, he still smiled at her and forgave her for doing so (in fact, he doesn’t even seem to hate anyone who was responsible for his death, including those directly responsible). Above all else, he holds the happiness and lives of others above even his own. He would do anything for someone, including laying his own life on the line.
When it comes to who he is, he is also very accepting. Ion understands that he’s simply a replica of the original Fon Master Ion and he does his best to fulfil that role and make everyone else believe that he is who he says he is. Because of this, he has to lie to Arietta about the truth as she was close to the original Ion and continues to believe that he’s the original. Lying isn’t something he enjoys doing but he understands the need to do so. Because of this, he has a bit of a hard time being around here since he feels bad about deceiving her. But despite being simply a replica, he believes he’s acting on his own ideas and not simply those of the original.
Maturity is also something that stands out most about Ion. Despite only being fourteen, he’s a leader and works hard to bring about peace to the world. He also refuses to be a puppet for anybody and even goes as far as to stand against Mohs, who is second only to him within the Order of Lorelei. He does this because while a good number of individuals within the Order believe that the Score is absolute (and these are the people who also support Mohs since he is along this line of thinking), Ion fully believes that it’s only one of many possibilities and that others could occur. He worries over the state of the world and fears that the obsession with the Score fulfilment is tearing the world apart.
[Abilities]
He’s well-versed in the fonic artes and is a master of the Daathic artes (then again, he’d have to be as only the Fon Master can use them). He can also read the score and break Daathic seals. Ion’s also good at being patient and loyal to the end. Another of his abilities is that he’s a very capable mediator, often preferring to go this route and trying to get things to work through words rather than action. But other than that, he doesn’t have any real abilities other than the awesome one of getting kidnapped. A lot.
[Other important stuff]
He’s a Fon Master and just happens to be a clone of the original Fon Master Ion. He’s not much of a physical fighter and because he’s a clone, he’s not nearly as strong as the original Ion. Also? He has a bit of a lack of self-preservation and tends to do things that put his own life in risk. Too much use of the fonic artes makes him weak and he gets tired easily if forced to do strenuous activity.

[First Person]
- If someone provoked or attacked you, what would you do?
I would not allow myself to become angry and retaliate right away. The first thing I would do is try to reason with them and solve the problem that they may have with me. It is only after diplomacy fails and there are absolutely no other options that I would resort to physically defending myself.
- Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do?
I would give them my money and offer a smile. They clearly need the money more than I do if they have to fall so low as to rob another individual.
- The blue pill or the red pill?
Uhm… what kind of question is this? What kind of pills are they? Do I get any further information or do I have to just choose one based on colour? If that’s the case, I’ll go with the blue. Blue is a nice, inviting colour and red reminds me of blood and death.
- Someone comes to you to ask for the time. How would you respond?
I give them a polite smile and if I’m wearing a watch, the time. If I’m not wearing a watch at the time, then I politely explain that I do not know. After that, perhaps engage in some conversation if they so please.
- Is the best part of waking up having Folger's in your cup?
What’s Folger’s? Is some kind of drink? It would have to be, being in a cup though I do suppose one could put other things in cups that are not drinks. Though to answer the question, I thinkt he best part of waking up is seeing the sun shining in the morning and hearing the chirping of the birds to welcome another day.
- Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
I would say that no, I am not. I consider myself to be an advocate of peace and equality and to be considered power hungry is certainly a negative connotation. I do not actively seek power for my own gain or use, after all, either.
- What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why?
Having friends is more important than living on one’s own. Friends are the cornerstone of happiness in my opinion. Can one truly say they are alive if they have no one but themselves to share their happiness and sadness; ups and downs? Without friends, one is just a hollow shell, waiting to find fulfilment.
[Third Person]
The sun was barely peeking above the horizon and Ion was already up, walking down by the lake. The dew of the grass that dampened his does barely registered with him at all as he offered a smile and wave to a scarecrow that was slowly milling around, stalking a crow. “Good morning to you, Mister Scarecrow.” With the polite sentiment came a polite smile. The boy’s morning would be spent enjoying a lovely sunrise by the lake before he headed back into the village in order to stop by one of the local establishments.
It had been a little bit since Ion had first arrived but each morning was still filled with a new wonder and sense of awe, each even more special than the last. Every day was filled with light activity - talking to locals and making new friends. In fact, he would say that he was settling in quite well. Sure. He missed his friends back home and he wondered how they were doing, but as long as they were happy he knew that things would be all right. Besides. He had all the faith in them successfully fulfilling the quest and setting everything right in the world once more.
This world, this place - Somarium - it was now his home. Here was where he was building a new life; meeting new people. Perhaps he was right in believing that there was more than one option; more than one possibility. The Score certainly had not predicted anything about this for him. The thought of that, alone, made him smile. Even if this was the afterlife, it was more than he could have ever of hoped for.
“I think… today I’ll call on some friends.” With a bounce in his step, he continued down the dirt path, making mental notes to see who he could bring cheer to today. After all, everyone deserved to be happy and he wanted to do his best to help see to it that they were.
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Everywhere needs a good-hearted kid who’ll try to mediate your problems and not judge things. (I judge.)
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] Let’s go with the one the one that animals and robots are allowed. I want to see Godzilla show up still.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Papa Smurf.
[Any questions?] Yes. Lots of questions. I question all the things.
