(love)drunk
pg13, jongyu, romance
i always say how i don't need you,
but it's always gonna come right back to this, please, don't leave me.
Jonghyun is drunk. He is absolutely wasted and he regrets nothing as he stumbles out of the bar, bottle of beer still in his hands. He is so disoriented and he feels so high and light and he likes this feeling a lot a lot a lot. But not as much as the feel of Jinki's hand behind his neck, touch warm and welcoming.
He walks, trying to keep as balanced as a drunk person can be and trips over his own two feet. He giggles and watches as his bottle of beer rolls away from him, its content spilling out and filling the cracks in the pavement. He wonders how it feels to flow and sink into the earth like that. He figures it must be nice to be so carefree. It must be nice to just disappear from the world. But then if he disappeared, he wouldn't be able to see Jinki, so no, he doesn't think it will be so nice anymore as he shakes his head vigorously, head hurting.
He flips open his phone and dials one. Number one (in his heart, his world).
"Jonghyun, where are you?" comes a worried voice.
"Jinki hyuuuuuuung," Jonghyun sings into his phone, feeling all giddy because Jinki sounded so breathless, so wonderful, so magnificent.
"Jonghyun, where are you? I'll come pick you up," Jinki says, tired, running, always chasing after Jonghyun.
"No, no, no, you can't," Jonghyun yells into his phone, and promptly hangs up.
"I don't want you to," he whispers to himself, "Or else I might want to kiss you."
He gets up, hands reaching out to the lamp post for support. His vision is blurry and he feels as if the whole world is crashing on him but then it's not. He walks, wobbly and unsure, to anywhere, any place, he doesn't know. He laughs bitterly and clutches his stomach. He bumps into someone and he falls back onto the ground. All he can see are stocking-clad legs and a pink glittery skirt before he reaches into his wallet, pulling out bills and throwing it at the girl's feet.
"If I give you money, would you do anything I say?"
The girl with blonde hair picks up all the bills scattered around her and Jonghyun vaguely thinks that this girl is too pretty to be wasted like this. She nods.
"Hug me."
The girl looks at Jonghyun like he's a dumbass because who the hell gives that much money for a hug? But she shrugs and lifts Jonghyun up from the ground because he was paying her big bucks for like a, hug job.
She wraps her skinny arms around Jonghyun and he smells her suffocating perfume as he hugs her back. But this doesn't feel right. She doesn't feel as full as Jinki does, she doesn't feel as warm as Jinki does, she doesn't make Jonghyun's heart beat like a drum like Jinki does, she doesn't, she's not Jinki. Jonghyun pushes her away and she stumbles backwards.
"Go away," Jonghyun shouts, finger pointing down the road, "I don't want you!"
She shrugs again and turns to walk away, happily couting the money she got for not even a full minute of service.
Jonghyun watches as she leaves and his vision turns blurry again, his tears finding its way out. He feels so lonely, so desperate, so helpless. He wants Jinki, he needs Jinki, only Jinki, ever Jinki.
It's so hard to bottle his feelings up, so constricted and it makes Jonghyun feel so tired. But he can't say anything because he was so afraid of rejection, so so so afraid. The tears won't stop falling and he's choking on his own sobs but he can't stop himself, he doesn't want to stop himself. He doesn't even wipe his stupid tears away. He hates this so much. He tries to stand up again when he sees a familiar figure running towards him.
"Jonghyun, is that you?"
The voice comes closer and closer and Jonghyun's heart starts beating faster and faster.
"I finally found you," Jinki smiles that wonderful, blinding smile that Jonghyun loves so so so much. He helps Jonghyun off the ground and Jonghyun doesn't even fight it because Jinki felt so warm, so nice, so right. He latches onto Jinki, leaving kisses all over his neck, mumbling his name over and over and over again like a mantra, Jinki, Jinki, Jinki.
(When they stop at a red light, Jonghyun tugs on his sleeve and he turns to look at him.
Jonghyun points to himself, then to the messily drawn heart on the car window, and then to Jinki.
"So, so, so, so much," Jonghyun adds before he closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep, leaving Jinki to watch the traffic light turn green, alone.)
