I really need to update this thing more!

Wow, so much has happened since I updated this thing. Quite honestly, I forgot about it untill Laura e-mailed me Jesse's blog from camp.

So, first thing is first... I GRADUATED!! I know you were all wondering if she would pass all her classes, but I did. It was great. I had to do the whole walk across the stage thing (which was boring), but I got that stupid piece of paper that LSU put me through hell to get!!! I mean I really can't do much with this piece of paper in the job market right now, but it allows me to go on to get another little piece of paper. No job yet. Right now I'm part time at the church still, and I am a nanny for a family untill school starts in mid August. So I am keeping buisy and making some money.

We just got back from a misson trip in Tennessee... which had it's ups and downs. I'll break them down:

UPs: I rode the whole way there and back with Stephen (my boss). We drove from BR to Birmingham with his wife and little boy. Rivers is sooooo cute! He calls me Leaf. Then from Birmingham to Oneida, we were by ourselves (seating arrangements on a road trip are pretty firmly planted by then). I thought it would be awkward, and it was for a little whie, but we both warmed up and talked about a TON of stuff. I feel that we have finally bonded, something that is so important in youth ministry.
Another up, my work team was great. I had great rapore with the kids. I am always uneasy around High School kids (I prefer the middle school ones). I am always afraid they are going to think I'm uncool or something.. but it was great. There was an accident with a four wheeler and a car up the road from our work site, and two of the boys on my team ran to the accident and were the first responders. They saved two little kids lives. I was amazed!
Whitewater rafting was so Awesome!!!! The river was fast and the guide was cute. Enough said.

DOWNs: I had to tent up with two other middle aged ladies. One of them was great, she was a hoot. But the other one, we just had personalities that clashed. And to top it all off, she was curled up in my back the entire time we were sleeping.
It rained ALL WEEK. The only day it didn't rain was the day we left.
The food sucked.
And one of the staff members just grated on my nerves.

That's really all that's been happening.
