My neighborhood is filled with a wide selection of various aspects of humanity. For example, there's me and a few other vet students, both married, long-term non-married, and single. Then you have my one set of neighbors, a nice married couple with long-haired chihuahuas who try to be considerate of their neighbors and the husband is nice enough to clear my weeds for me. Then there's the other direct neighbor, who has anger management issues (especially when drinking, which fortunately he gave up when he started having seizures, apparently he's epileptic) and untamed labradors who one day are going to break the windows in his house to attack people who walk by. Now, apparently, across the street I have the type of neighbors who have intact male rottweilers who again are untrained (he seems more friendly than my neighbors labs, but none of them are capable of responding when called, and of course they don't use leashes). It's only a matter of time . . . .
On a far more positive note . . . I got to watch a mountain lion get a tooth extracted today. XD! Seriously, very very cool. Steph should have a pic of me with said kitty on her camera, just have to obtain it from her (I have kitty dentistry pics already, but not the one with me and the cat). XD!!! He was so soft, and such big paws, and claws (I'm quite glad he was asleep). I <3 big kitties.
And, since I didn't blog about it before, I got to see an otter anesthetized in March, then we headed to ultrasound. Unfortunately, he had a heart lesion and didn't recover from anesthesia. But he was really cool to get to pet, and they too have big teeth. I should harass Ash for pics of me with the otter, cuz so far I only have pictures of the otter.
Just over a week and I'll be released into the clinics, where I'm supposed to be doctor-like. And in just about 1 month, I get to work at the zoo. Teehee.
