Buns in the Oven: R

Dec 13, 2009 13:53

Hello all and welcome to another "Who's Your Daddy?" challenge update, starring the Bun family.

Buns in the oven: R - ... well, that was as far as I got in this update.

Rules for this challenge can be found right ---> Here.

First let's have a look at who is who in the Bun house.

Yeah I know; it's poorly done. I had this grand idea for an intro picture which just didn't work out as I'd expected, but that's life isn't it? Some you win and some you lose.

Let the update proceed:

It must be about time Omarina taught one of her children learn to study homework, indeed I can't remember when she last did it. It's usually Komei who does it, or one of the teens.

Omarina is currently pregnant with baby "R" and the babydaddy is none other than Mrs. Crumplebottom.

Osgar, the clever lad, had already done his homework and then rolled the want to become friends with Janey Despret here whom he brought with him home from school.

Janey is the latest generation(3rd) of an unpublished legacy I have going here in Pleasantview.
Here is a picture of her parents if you are curious.

Before Janey had time to tell Osgar that she couldn't believe how late it had become, she just had time to be a spectator of baby "R"s birth.

Oh hello Mary Sue, fancy a bit of midwifery on the side?

The baby is a girl with blond hair, dark blue eyes and skin#3.

Welcome to the challenge Rhona Bun, may the Great Will Wright be with us...you...us...you...us ... everyone!

--> Uni update time. <--

In my last Bun chapter I said that I would try and do a little Uni (and beyond) update for the Buns who have already left their childhood home.
Here we have Aileen, Boyd and Cormag freshly arrived at their Greek House.

"Congratulations on getting to Uni bro."

"Congratulations to you too bro."

Yeah yeah, we get it.

Don't worry though, I am not going to bore you with Uni life for the Buns, I'll just quickly skim over it.

Uni is, as we all know, a place to max those skills, and in Cormag's case; max them all.

When all the skills are maxed you can, like Jock is here, spend your time fishing for your future family.

Indeed, the fishing rod can be hard to put down at times, as Cormag discovered.

During those Uni years there can be some readjustment of the pre-planned relationships.

Yes, Ivor didn't much like it much when Cormag flirted with Elizabeth. Heh, look at Cormag pretending to be all innocent; he was the one who started it!

Elizabeth is an ex-townie teen whom I sent to Uni together with Ivor as they fell in love as teens, with two bolts. Unfortunately the boltage fell to one bolt and Cormag, who is three bolts with Elizabeth, was quick to seize the opportunity.

Who can blame them though, they are very cute together.

Naturally I couldn't resist giving Elizabeth a make over.

I only meant to change her clothes but then when I told her to "change apperance" so I could give her freckles, I just had to try out some different hair styles on her, and well... as you see she doesn't look much like the townie teen she once was, but never mind.

So, as I said there was a lot of "Max skill"

....and "max skill"

....aaand "max skill".

Of course there was also ample time for falling in love, yes let's all go "awww" at Boyd's autonomous backrub of the cheerleader and at the same time wave goodbye to this babydaddy. I had hoped that the cheerleader, who is an old friend of Omarina's, would be one of Omarina's babydaddies, but now that Boyd has claimed her it would be a bit ewww to use her.
It's OK though, I have lots of potential babydaddies to choose from yet.

Sweet Heather managed to get her first kiss with this cute Uni-townie, Mitch Custer. They have two bolts so he is now Heather's spouse to be.

Those Greek house letters; they are meant to be bolted to the wall next to the Greek house bookcase, aren't they?

Fife also had love on his mind so I had him make friends with...

... delivery girl Dagmar somethingorother. They'd make a sweet couple wouldn't they? Well no, because when I checked Fife's ACR token stats it seems that he is not really that into girls. Yes, Fife is my first (ACR) autonomous gay Bun.
Heh, it's always the cute guys who aren't for girls isn't it?

And talking of cute guys; Murdoch's dad is also very good at calling by and showing off his talents(!)

Right, enough of the Uni life, let's see them all graduate and grow into adults:

First up is Aileen. Gosh how she looks like her dad when you see her with her hair away from her face.

Aileen made sure her Graduation party became a roof raiser in the best way possible.

Once back in Pleasantview Aileen invited Connor Woodrow over and asked him to move in.
Heh, thanks to ACR he didn't stay in those clothes long...

... and now the first grand-Bun is baking.

Boyd graduated next...

... with a roof raiser graduation party...

... before moving into Pleasantview with his intended cheerleader.

Now they too have a grand-Bun on the way.

Next is Cormag who also...

... made sure the roof was raised before he moved into Pleasantview to await Elizabeth's graduation.

Then the turn came to Euan the Witch Doctor offspring who has been terribly neglected during Uni and who decided to write in his diary during his graduation-photo-in-front-of-the-bookcases.

Euan's graduation party ended with him growing up into his adult PJs.
We can only hope his life will became more exciting from now on.

Fife put on the graduation get-up next and as soon as the party was over, he decided that...

... he is a lumberjack and he's okay.

And back in Pleasantview, he is not the only one who thinks that.

Then came the turn to sweet Heather...

... who graduated together with her boyfriend...

... and grew up in a completely out-of-character power suit...

... before moving into Pleasantview where, I am ashamed to say, I only just plopped them onto an empty lot along with a phone before saving and exiting.

As "I" comes after "H" it was time for Ivor to graduate and...

... grow up and move to Pleasantview where...

... he called the Matchmaker as he was having problems attracting the right sort of women...

... and he is currently trying to persuade Marisa Bendett to move in with him. Good luck Ivor.

Then came the turn to Jock...

... who grew up in clothes that suites him perfectly.

No need to feel sorry for him though, he did manage to find a girlfriend in Tiffany Butler whom I'm sure you'll all recognize as an ex-Secret Society gal.

And now the Bun Greek house is occupied by Keith and Lennox and their respective girlfriends; Nicole Thompson and Vamsi Chin. Nicole and Vamsi are both ex-townie teens.

But wait, let's not forget Elizabeth Ng.

Her party was pretty average but she didn't mind, she was in a hurry to move to Pleasantview where Cormag was waiting for her.

They invited as many of the family as they possibly could for the wedding.

Party went well... oh hello sailor.

And guess what... yes, they also now have a grand-Bun in the oven.

Phew, that was that. Now back to the challenge household:

Oh dear, it seems like Omarina has been hitting the happy-pills rather hard. But who can blame her; a few disturbing happenings has taken place in the Bun house during our Uni-Buns catch-up session.

Firstly, because she is so hard to look after, Donella has been demoted from her teen job and therefore lost yet another scholarship.
I really am beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be for the best if I gave up on the "all scholarships" bonus.

Secondly, and much more disturbingly, Komei has begun to bring dead sims home with him. This is Nikki Turner who is Donella's dad and who died right here on this lot, death by cowplant. Nikky faded away just a second after I snapped this pic.

Double Agents eh? They are more occult than I imagined.

But, this is a WYD and the show must go on.

Meet Oscar Roe, plantsim (spore-baby), and the latest babydaddy-to-be.

Bun S is in the oven.

"Mrs. Bun; if you make one more cucumber joke I'll walk through your house in my underwear."

"OMG! When is mum going to stop bringing weird guys home?!"

Don't worry Donella, just another... *counts* ... 7 babydaddies to go.

Niamh went out to try and find someone with whom she can soon get a first kiss and Master Dreamer here proved a willing subject.

Though, he was less keen when asked to "Slow Dance" in front of the elder townies of Pleasantview.

Back home Niamh found that one of her countless siblings was just about to go through his second birthday.

>puff< and Quarrie grew up well.

That nanny; I think she thinks she lives here.

Quarrie grew up with this everyday wear and it just suits him so nicely. Such a little sweetie.

"That sweetness and cute ain't cutting the mustard with me; do your own homework bozo!
And just so you know it, you've got yourself stuck in the table."

"You know Quarrie, if you don't do your homework yourself you'll never be clever enough to graduate."

Listen to those words Quarrie; they are pearls of wisdom. I know what I'm talking about.

So yes, now that Quarrie is a child it's time to call the Headmaster, which in this case turns out to be Vince Walter who is (as I'm sure only very few of you recall, and I don't blame you) in fact Phiala's dad. So naturally I had her do the "Entertaining" stuff.

He was charmed from the word go.

Charmed even when Niamh, who seems to have developed some nasty facial twitches, started going on about how she will definitely graduate with Honors and all.

Of course they got in, that guy is so taken with his daughter.
At least I'd like to think so. :)

Later that evening Komei topped the Intelligence career.

You'd think then, wouldn't you, that he'd be intelligent enough to stop bringing dead sims home with him.
I'm really missing the time when he used to bring Ray home, that was much more entertaining.

The next day I had him put on his Head of SCIA wear, just to check it out (isn't it the exact same as the Generals wear?) before making him take a job in the Adventure career.

In other news; Niamh seems just be quite an unfortunate girl, here goes another lot of aspiration points.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, comes the moment I have been waiting for with anxious glee; the growing-up of Rhona the Crumplebottom baby.

Last chance to call her cute.

But... she is still cute. That's not fair, I want my money back!

I had to go and check her family tree just to make sure, and as you see she is indeed the daughter of Mrs. Crumplebottom.

Post make over she looks like something old ladies will stop and coo over. I am so disappointed.

Though, I have to admit her personality is rather awesome: Scorpio - 10/9/10/0/0. So yeah, that does make up for it a bit.

As the end of this update is approaching there is just time for a quick toddler skills picture of Rhona and...

... one of Omarina autonomously sitting down to read a bedtime story to sweet little Quarrie.

Happy simming to you all!

Out-take time:

I'm not even sure what she was trying to do but it certainly looks awkward.

I think Fife is trying to tell me something.

Musical windows?

Mmm, edible fiddle.

Thank you all for reading.
