[This past love experiment has left Saleh quite confused, to say the least.]

So this was it? It was just like Rydia said; I felt like a part of me was missing that I had not been aware of, and I had felt complete. But now that feeling is gone.

The feeling is gone because the entire thing was rigged by the Malnosso. None of it was real, as much as it may have felt that way.

I think there is, but it's hard to explain without going through it yourself. At the very least, when it does really happen to you, it ought to be more than a fleeting obsession. Something tells me you won't give your heart away easily or abruptly.

Mhm...you're probably right about that.

[More like he wouldn't know how to. At least, not in this manner. He's thinking about Kain's love for Rydia, and he can't imagine that Kain would have given his heart away so easily.]

This love requires a great deal of patience, does it not?

It can...but I think that's part of what makes it worthwhile in the end. Nothing truly worth having is easily attained.
