mmmmk, so i don't think i'll get around to posting a ton of pictures here today, but i uploaded some to my flickr account....check them out if you want. if i'm feeling really ambitious, i'll post a video or two.

the hcg went, well, it went. the results were good...everything is clear now, and they didn't see any problems. i went into it knowing it hurts, knowing that if something were to go wrong with this procedure, it would happen to me. and i was right. first, the little bubble that holds the cathater in place while they take the xrays, popped. so we had to start all over again. and then, THEN, the light they insert into the speculum wouldn't work when they went to use it the second time. so i just laied there, spread eagle, while the replaced the bulb, fussed with wires, and finally got it to work again. in retrospect, that's the easy part though. the dye they use, makes my uterus and fallopian tubes contract in a BIG way. i spent the next four hours doubles over in pain, and puking. pain makes me puke. labor should be fun. all in all it was worth it to know things look good.

erin and i went to the golden state warriors game last week. best part of the whole thing is when they made the rookies dance to crank it by soldier boy. they took this eleven year old girl from the stands, and she showed them how it was done. i'll upload a video at some point.

work is going well...i've only got about seven more months there, before we move. erin is interviewing for fellowships this week, so by late november we should know where we are going to end up. in the end though, we're leaning towards moving back to santa rosa. we adore this area, and it's a spectacular place to raise a family. we can only take it one day at a time though.

kaiden cut his foot on a piece of glass while we were out running on thursday. he's been a total doll about letting me change the bandage every day, and lets me put a sock over it, so he can go outside. i tell him to sit, and he holds out his paw while i wrap it. the dude melts my heart. he's not quite used to the bulky thing on his foot though, and watching him walk is quite comical.
