1. When naps fail, Sparks wins.
2. It's so random how people come and go. Especially when they wait so long between the going and the coming. I don't know. Weird. Awesome! but definitely weird.
3. Anything north of 40th is now officially upstate. Sorry, fancy dudes with fancy Central Park West apartments with fancy exposed brick walls. Don't get me wrong, I'll still hang out. I like out of town vacations.
4. Tonight's Family Burrito Night was a hit. Allison, Gillian, and I are masters of delicious burritos and movie watching. We watched the bootleg copy of Juno I bought on the subway for five bucks on my way home from upstate this afternoon. I think Scrabble's going to be involved next time. AWESOME.
5. Fifteen and a half hours of free pizza are enough for me, thank you!
6. The other night at Lost and Found there was some Very Serious Punk Rock show and the band was being heckled by some bridge and tunnel jerk, so the singer takes his guitar and smashes the heckler in the face with it. There was a huge fight and then the band just started playing again. Ten minutes later, the singer started yelling at someone else for something or another, and then the drummer stands up and starts flipping over his drum set and kicking it. The singer turns around and goes, "what the fuck is your problem?!" To which the drummer responds, "fuck you and fuck this band, I fucking quit!" Another fight broke out and then again, as quickly as it started, it ends and the band starts playing again. Then some Very Serious Punk Rock kid jumped off the stairs to crowd surf and kicked Amanda in the back of the skull. Catching someone when they're fainting from a head injury is kind of intense.
That bar was awesome, they gave away free veggie dogs with every beer purchased.
7. It fucking feels like -1 degree here. What the fuck. Where's the snow?! In my Florida-addled brain, anytime it's below 40 degrees, it should probably be snowing. The whole complexity of low temperatures plus rain plus magic plus whatever equals snow is weird, I don't get it. Wait, I guess I do. Alright, I just don't like it.
